Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

On second reading, photog. was helpful in documenting the crime.

that photog was in the right place at the right time. That driver is going to be screwed....although the courier allegedly keyed the car....big mistake. If you're going to do anything like that, you better make sure you're going to get the **** away. Road rage is a scary damn thing. Makes people think that stomping a wheel is an equivalent response to having your car scratched. *******.

Road rage isn't quite as dangerous in Canada, especially in Kensington Market which is the neighbourhood of Toronto this took place. That courier is definately well known in the hood and the neighbourhood will break up just about any fight unless its between crackheads. Then they may just take wagers and watch.

Actually i lived and worked in Toronto and people there tend to take things to the extreme. because Toronto is a "safe" city and people are supposed to be "peaceful" they seem to disrespect each other more without thinking of the consequences. people in New York would think twice about throwing garbage at some ******* littering because you never know if he's a psychopath. I used to see it all the time, motorists telling each other off all the time.
If you read the whole post it states that he threw garbage on the street and she picked up the garbage and threw it at him, OK its wrong to litter but she could have said something instead of throwing it at him. then it escalated from there. They are both to blame.

I think it's awesome that she threw the garbage back at him. God knows I've wanted to do that dozens of times. Damn SUV drivers...think the world is their trashcan.

I dunno, I've had to deal with some ****ups in Ottawa before. One almost smashed into two other cars trying to block me from riding.

in all honesty, replacing a wheel can cost a lot less than fixing a nasty car keying. i'd probably be tempted to key the car if i had coffee thrown on me, too, but i'm just sayin' that it's not something that any motorist should take lightly. you cannot always do spot finishing on a nasty keying. that said, that guy seemed like a total cockbag and got what was coming to him.

But when you do sh*t like that, you either gotta be ready to fight or flee.

Friend just sent me that article. Maybe a poor decision with the keying but even still. That's mad restraint not to u-lock that f*ckers window/face in.

the coffee totally justifies the keying in my book. Nothing less than that though.

wow. what a cool series of photos.

It was really hard for me to key someone's car after I got called
"*****." I had to like sit there for 20 minutes watch my back while
I carved "racist" in 2 foot high letters. Tip to drivers: if you make
someone angry don't park your car & leave it.

it took 20 posts to mention u lock justice. and coming from resent personal experience dont **** with a driver unless your willing to fight mike tyson. you never know what is coming your way. sometimes you get lucky with a bruised ego or shoulder froma trip, but you never know whos got a gun or can knock your ass out.
