Anyone going to the prologue of the Tour of California?
I know Ostro mentioned it a couple of weeks back but I thought I'd remind you.
I'm planning on heading up and taking pics for the "Grassy Knoll Project".

I'm thinking of just hitting the festival at Embarcadero around 9:45 and then taking off to find a good picture taking spot along the TT route.

I'll head over to the embarcadero around 9:30 or so, maybe earlier for breakfast, and then stake out a spot somewhere near coit tower. I want to see the climb. You have my number...

I'm ditching my last period class on Tuesday to see the race as it comes into San Jose.

I'm going to be doing valet bicycle parking with the SFBC at Justin Herman Plaza from 9AM to 11AM. Say hi if you're in the area, or let us park and watch your bike and gear for you.
It's free and very secure!

I few cars and a team rode through downtown San Mateo today. I didn't get a good look at the bikes, but one car had 3 bikes with disc wheels strapped to it. I was waiting for one to just fall off and no one notice.

5) thats a very very steep hill
6) the announcer guy was terrifying
7) herbalife is ****ing NASTY (and they're *******s for not giving me a cup of water)
8) too many people
9) the united team was trying to charge 3 bucks for water
10) yuko can fall off a non moving bicycle
11) I really want to move into the area around coit tower (WOW, nice apartments)
12) The racers didn't even seem to sweat the prologue, it seemed like another day in the week.
13) I think they were having track stand and skid comps at the top. But it was too crowded for me to find out (HAH i made a funny).
14) carbon fiber is for *******
15) I need an aero helmet, those things are hilarity.
16) i have a hardon for the rear wheel clearance on cervelo frames. HOT.
17) team discovery channel makes me think of martin and nelson invading shelbyville.

no problem. It was a fun way to start the day, but I sure didnt like waking up at 8:30!!! We converted my friends bike to a fixie (if you go through her photos, look for the mercier), and we ended up going to the DMV by the pandhandle so she could practice and i could start the process of ****ing up my fancy new tires. ran into a bunch of skater friends (the guys who work run ipath and fecalface). A good sunday!

I haven't had a chance to copy the photos off my camera yet. I was fun hanging with you and Yuko. BTW, the crowds at the SF Grand Prix were much worse.
