70's Paramount fixed gear
My LBS has a 70's vintage Paramount built up with a Campy NR crank, Campy hubs, set up as a fixed gear. Tubular tires. In very good shape. They want $800 What do you think of the price?

is it all chrome? and is it a real track paramount or a conversion? if it is a conversion tell them you'll give them 800 with all the original components included. that is a fair price. either way if the componentry is original and it is in excellent condition that price seems reasonable considering what they typicall go for on ebay.

its painted. and to be honest I didn't look closely enough to see if it was a track frame or a conversion. I'm thinking about going back and giving it a real look, check the serial number.

good idea. Someone else will chime in but I don't think I have seen a non-chrome track paramount. If it is a conversion then 800 would be too high for me unless it was a complete bike.
