Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Awesome helmet (IMAGES)

Across the street from my house is a housing co-op that just got rid of all its junk on their front lawn. Mostly crap (upwards pointing standing lamps, old lady baskets, broken stereos), but I did find one real gem.

Its a 1995 Canadian-made LOFOX helmet. Its the bee's knees!

Here are some pictures for illustration:

Top view. Looks pretty nice!

Bottom view. Nice hardware!

Front view. HUH?

Side view. Excuse me now?

Three quarters view. Wow thats quite the helmet!

But what does it look like on a human head?

HUGE!

It makes you look REALLY cool without even trying

This helmet is totally and absolutely ******** but great at the same time. I'm gonna decorate it for halloween!

It says on a sticker on the inside that it is designed for bicycle use only but I suspect it is actaully a luge helet from the strange 'cut' of the face protector.

Bikes: Bianchi Pista and too many to list

Excuse my ignorance. Is that a real helmet or a mock-up?

OMG LOFOX? I know those!!!! First attempts at full face for the commuter. As you can see from our lovely model Shiznaz, it didn't go over very well. What a score!!
