Bikes: 2006 GT Avalanche disc 3.0, 198x? Miyata One Ten

"New" Miyata

Picked up a Miyata One-Ten today from a guy off of Craigslist. Absolutely wonderful shape, everything works. Shifts smooth as butter and I skidded & did a stoppy in front of the guy while test riding it. I've never had a road bike before, but I think this one will work out well. Not sure exactly what size it is, but I've got about 1.5-2" of clearance above the top tube, and the pedal stroke seems about right. I'll probably make some adjustments after riding it for a few days to find what is the most comfortable. Tires still hold air, it's not been ridden in a while, but the guy cleaned it up & lubed it before selling it, or at least it appears that way.

That's a nice looking Miyata. I have a Three-ten that I bought new while stationed in Alameda on the USS California. All of the Miyata bikes were well made and nicely finished. Only the frame material and components were changed between the different lines. The One-ten is the recreational bike, Two-ten is Loaded touring, and the Three-ten is Sport-Touring.
