Goodbye GMR - Sunday May20th

Luwin sugested I do a once a month ride...well here it is...not quite what you expected!

Since rumor has it that GMR will open to cars at the end of May, and is only open for cyclists on Sundays, it seemed only fitting that BF had a Goodbye GMR ride!

D'oh, I forgot about the TDF!

BTW, they will open it just in time to close it for fire season!

I'll bump the tour de femmes thread and see what the commitment is. I'd love to do GMR too! I'm so bummed it's opening soon to motorists.

Whats so amazing is I was thinking of asking Herb this earlier today around noonish. But then I checked my schedule and didnt find a free weekend anytime soon. So I just sat back and shut up........BUT NOW THAT HE SUGGESTED IT..........WELL the rest is history Within those frantic 2 minutes I had to make a concrete decision....but if something else comes up that can change as well

Oh, that's okay, Herb. I won't dump the femmes ride if there are women coming. But if there are only a couple and they want to do GMR, there may be a Tour de Femmes GMR Goodbye Ride. Win-win.

Dang it! I'd love to do this ride, but Davis Double is the Saturday of that weekend. And this my proposed second leg of the triple crown. Decisions, decisions ....

I predict that the Tour de Femmes ride will never happen.

No matter when or where it is planned, shortly before it goes down someone will inevitably pop up and propose "Hey! Anyone up for some blindfolded-fixie-onelegged Palomar repeats?"

ME, along with everyone else will go into a trance state and hustle off like lemmings to the latest endorphin-fest, all thoughts of Femmes forgotten.
