Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Cool points to mention:

-The bikes are homemade custom-mods.

-The video and song are 100% independent

-The kids are in High School

-The kids are literally bombarded with car culture, yet chose bike culture on their own.

It may seem silly to some, but I think it's rad. Best street movement yet.

Can anyone ghost ride their fixed gear that well? Nothing like ghost riding a nice whip.

If this thread doesn't get at least half as many views as the "bike culture is doomed" thread, then well I guess people just don't like bicycles.

Thank you Trunk Boiz. I was beginning to think I single-handedly co-opted bike culture. I'm glad to see there's still an underground element in the cycling community. Off to build up a scraper bike and hop on the bandwagon...

You'll need to build up a trike, if you plan on doing any serious wagon- hopping. Just sayin'.

I can't get enough of it, I keep listening to it. As I've gotten older I've found a love for main stream rap. Mainly cause of the production, but this song is just infectious.

From "Probably a bad idea" hybrid miss-and-out/ crit race in Gastown, Vancouver a couple of weeks ago. Tenten is ghost riding the whip to the finish line with a bunch of riders coming up fast behind. Props to Trent for photo.
