Touring gears with Campagnolo
Folks, for those interested in a Campy touring triple crank, I have completed installation of IRD triple-lizer (tripleizer) on my Campagnolo Centaur compact crank (110BCD). The crank comes with 50/34 gearing, which is fine for all but the nastiest of ascents. If you are interested here are a list of things to get:

The non-Campy chainrings work wonderfully with my 10-speed drivetrain. The rear 11-25 cassette and 24t small ring give me a nice near 1:1 ratio. With my FSA 46t big chainring, making my triple a 46-36-24, I can access all the gears despite using a short-cage rear dérailleur.
- IRD Triple-lizer chaing ring
- Campagnolo 5mm chainring spacers (available from Harris Cyclery)
- Campagnolo chainring bolts
- 74 BCD small ring
- Triple front Dérailleur, such as Campagnolo Record.
- Triple bottom bracket, such as Campagnolo Centaur 68x115 sealed BB.

Interesting conversion, with Nashbar giving away Centaur compacts (I've got one on the way) should be useful.
Is the 115 BB the standard for Campy triples? My centaur standard double has a 111.

i am getting ready fro my northern tier tour with a campy 10 speed setup. i am going with an FSA compact 50-34 and then a miche 10 speed cassette modified to be 12-29 in the back. i consider myself a strong climber, wanted to avoid a triple since i had the compact already, and wanted to keep the 12 tooth low end so i can still cruise at a fast clip in the midwest. i'll let you know how the 12-29 works out.
