LHT Steerer Tube Length

What is the length of the steerer tube on a 62 cm frame size LHT fork? What is the length when purchased as a complete bike? It seems shorter when it comes as a complete bike than that when one buys just the frame/fork.

I read on the LHT e-list that Surly will not be cutting the steerers on complete LHTs they sell anymore. I guess enough people complained. I ride my 58cm LHT with an uncut steerer.

Confirm with Surly to be 100% as I didn't get this info directly from the Mother Ship...

Fantastic idea. You can always put spacers on top of the stem.

That is what I do. I know I can get a sore spot somewhere and andjust the stem up or down if required. The smoke stack look doesn't bother me.

I run an uncut steerer on my sage LHT. I put 1 spacer above the stem and a couple below. 62cm frame.
