Yes it is. I am not sure where to get info but a local buike shop has a publication just for it. I'll see about getting one and post more info later.

Each class will last 1.5 hrs. (there will be four consecutive sessions). The total cost for the four weeks is $60.00 (payable by check or cash on the first day of class). The cost is the same with/or without bike.
You should bring a helmet and regular riding gear (including pedals and shoes).
The first two classes are designed to get everyone familiar with the fixed gear bikes, basic skills and track rules. The last two classes will focus on more advanced skills and race-oriented drills.
There is some more talk about this here:

i talked to lisa who knows peter (i think thats his name), the guy that runs the classes, and they are talking about doing some classes on early weekend days like a saturday or sunday. that is if there is enough folks to do it. they really just want people there, and it seems like they are willing to accomodate folks schedules. i want to go, but thursdays are tough for me. i was also told they could possibly, or are thinking about, doing an all day training on a weekend. lisa is supposed to email the details at some point. so yeah, if folks are interested that have a crazy work schedule like myself, i'll feed info to you as i get it.

I would be up for a weekend class. I guess if we could organize a group and agree on a time that works for us and the velodrome folks, we could make it happen.

i posted that on the sopo forums. i think we could probably get a pretty decent size group together to do the weekend thing. especially if folks from other surrounding areas of the state, or states for that matter, want to join in the fun. classes starting at 7 on a thursday aren't easy for a lot of people to get to. i think its awesome the velodrome folks are looking to accomodate people that have crappy schedules like ourselves.
