Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Definitely in the eye of the beholder.

That is one ugly bike IMO.

What's with BD bashing Trek in their listings? I never noticed that before. That's just lame.

Looks like a potentially very nice bike at a fantastic price. They really need to hire someone with a little bit of artistic taste to redesign their labels and color schemes though.

My opinion is that the frame looks top heavy. The seatstays are thicker than the chainstays. The downtube gets wimpy looking in the middle. Not a modern design.

Me too, but it does potentially scream 'Fredmobile' and I can't say why. Could be the 'Motobecane' name, a bizarre relic from the 70's, emlazoned on the downtube. Lose that, and you might have something.

Bike snobs RULE.

Immortal Ice??? Tell me this is not Vanilla Ice's ride....

The colour + the "geometries" (which look more like freehand adjustments to a mold) =

it looks like puke.

They should take out the four inches of spacers on the steerer before they photograph it.

Agreed. Cutting the steerer to the right length and not having it sticking up above the stem would make the bike much more appealing. It would also help if the saddle was level.......

I think this color would look much better on a basic steel or aluminum bike.

I've never liked any of the carbon BD bikes.
