Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Some people get tens of thousands just to name a product... I think I can do better than Di2...

Hideous. Did Shimano purge all their designers? Guess what happen when the battery runs out the middle of the ride, it's stuck.

I'd love to get it, perhaps Shimano will try and unload some of it at EP to their dealers and I can get it cheap.

It probably has some kind of meter to warn you. I sure hope it's water proof...

Nope, Shimano spent years of company time developing this shifting system and didn't waterproof it.

in Japanese it would be "痔2"
which is "Hemmorroid2"

just so it's clear, I'm only complaining about the naming, not the actual product itself.

You're calling everyone else an asshat? Unless you're riding a pennyfarthing, then you have no room to speak.

Negative. When people have the means to consume unnecessarily, they should, it benefits everyone else.

If not for people buying new technology, WW and boutique stuff, your bike would look like this:

Nice picture, but your argument is a nifty example of a fallacy of irrelevance (that's a logical fallacy, silly).
I.e., the consequences you present are not necessarily
contingent upon the conditions you present. Sure, it can be persuasive, but it proves nothing.

Next?

By the way, thanks for the laughs. And if you wanna buy that stuff, go ahead, I don't care.
