I came across this little trick to make FlightDeck buttons less sensitive.
Roll the hoods back. Take the extra piece of bar tape that covers the shifter clamp. and make sure it covers the button. Then cut out a hole in the tape to allow the button to poke through, there should be tape all around the button. Roll the hoods back and notice how the button will only work with a conscious press, not an accidental side of the thumb on the hood press. Hope this helps some other FlightDeck users.

Good idea! I sometimes have that issue with my FD setting advancing without touching the buttons. I can only guess a sizable bump in the pavement causes it to happen. Ordinarily they're fine. It's just every so often that it changes on it's own. The tape you're talking about is like thick electrical tape, right? A few layers of regular elec tape would also do the job. The purpose is to have the hood rubber sit slightly further away from the FD buttons.

The tape he mentions is bar-tape (that foam/vinyl tape you use to wrap your drop-style bars).

That's correct, usually everyone has this small piece of bar tape there already to cover the clamp better when wrapping around the shifters.
