Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Can't stand the damn things...

First One

I got my first donation today for the LifeCycle charity ride (see my signature thingy), and I'm stoked. I still have a long way to go to reach my minimum, but I'm sure I'll make it.
(yes I realize this is a shameless plug)

Bikes: Thylacines...only Thylacines.

Even though between my partner and I, we already donate to 4 charities and volunteer at a city soup kitchen every second weekend, I'm going to offer up this -

If anyone from Bikeforums is looking for a new frame and chooses a Thylacine, I'll donate all the profit to Torrin's ride. Hows that?

I know it's not heaps, but its better than just sitting on your arse doing nothing, right?. There's only one frame ( any model ), and you must be a registered poster on Bikeforums to qualify.

When donations close for Torrins ride, so does this offer, then proceeds are off to another charity.

Namely......me.

Shameless plug for a shameless plug. Everyones happy. Go to it.

if i had the money to spend on a new bike, i totally would. as it stands right now, without my girlfriend, i wouldn't be able to feed myself right now.

that's an awesome offer, by the way. you're a super stand-up guy thylacine, and if you're ever in the bay area and i'm not poor, i'll take you out to drinks...same goes if i'm ever in australia.
