14 inch wheel folder. bazuki 14-3HG.$40

started life 5 years ago in my possession.(did not trust the stickers that said bazooka)
became my children's bike, because cranks were too short, had only 32 gear inches (38t/16t)
14 inch wheel, very hard to find the tires here.

two months ago came the inspiration:
put shimano 3 speed internal gear hub.(14t)
switch the cranks, now it is 48t, 170 crank (gear inches : 36-48-64)
made a telescope seatpost.
cut the 28,6 seatpost, and put a 25,4 seatpost in it.

voila!

started life as a second hand bike, 400 thousand rupiah, local currency ($40 approx.)
internal gear: 40 dollars
crank 3 dollars (exactly the same crank as on my dahon vitesse)
folding suntour pedals 20 dollars (combined with the crank, it is a dahon wannabe!)
shimano v-brakes 15 dollars
labor 5 dollars

I love this bike. I am naming it bazuki 14-3HG.
though not as smooth as my dahon vitesse, I feel more comfortable on this.
not worrying too much of being stolen.....

how much? people ask.
forty dollahs!!!

this is supposed to be discussed at the local forums,
I did testride this little animal, but the last time I had my cyclocomp (on my other bike), it was just 40 something kilometers, not 50+ ...

your new hero? come on, I am blushing......
we all can do that..
anyway it's not done everyday..

we will talk about this later brother joseff, but I am really thinking of riding to jogja, leisurely on a folder.
you might be my companion.........

dahons to jogjakarta, anyone else done this?

I'm not sure about Jogja. But I'll definitely take closer invitations like Pelabuhan Ratu or Pantai Carita

its not just a local forums thing - you could take some pics and put them on the "pootle" thread here, which can do with reviving. Would love to see some images....
