Where are the real riders?

Where are the real riders?
This forum is like watching Emo-nerds buy vinyl at a vintage records store: all lot of chest-puffing, no action. Everyone talks a good game, but no one really ever says much about biking. I have found the basic formula:
1: Thread Start - Track/Fix/Ride related topic
2: Initial Response - Bike related
3: Following Response - somewhat bike related
4: Following Response - lame ass comment
5: Following Response - lame comment, etc
Check out the Track Sub Forum. Relevant, thoughtful, no whining or stupid-assed insight that is so off target it would get you killed if you said it face to face.
Sometime I think I am in the BMX forum...some people are so stupid.

like I said before; there's really not a whole lot of FG/SS specific topics to post about
a person can read into the whole 'fixie' 'thing' all they want, but in the end, a bike is a bike is a bike, and riding is riding, regardless of the type of bike.
Besides, how many 'after 6 months, my fixie is complete, took her out for the first time and nearly got bucked off!' stories can you really read?

I don't recall reading anything insightful from you regarding your bike or your experiences with fixed, only the lame ass comments. So when you have something of substinance pertaining to fixed or track riding, maybe then we'll respond in kind. Or perhaps, like you, we'll just skip items 1 through 4 and head straight to #5.

actually, the very point of my post is that there's not a whole lot of 'insightful' or meaningful requests to which one can respond.
When I do contribute to Fixed-related topics, it's typically to help explain mechanics or alternative solutions, because I feel the typical, ubiqitous link to sheldon is a lazy, and sometimes inadequate, response, and solutions which simply involve throwing money at a problem are short-sighted.
However, most posts on this board, much like your very response to my post, are not seeking useful or insightful information. Perhaps if you spent more time perusing meaningful posts, rather than seeking NYC shopping destinations, you would be more familiar with my experiences and contributions.
Of course, I do not expect you to have gained any insight into my past or experience based upon this response, though your last sentence has provided me a great deal of insight into you and your cognition (or lack thereof).
Peace out,
Steve

Progre-ss,
Thankyou for providing evidence of something already known. I was insulting you, not the Wrench. Considering the entire content of my post was directly rebutting the content of your own, I presumed you at least had enough intelligence to infer direction. I was obviously wrong.
Pease out, my doltish fellow,
Steve

From reading your original response it seemed as if you were responding to The Wrench's post, not my response to his post. My understanding of your comment about the NYC shopping destinations was you were regarding that post as one of the less meaningful ones on this forum. Yes, it wasn't a post about gear inches or frame material or crank length suggestions. It was merely a post to those in NYC who could refer me to some fixie-friendly shops. That's all. It wasn't an attempt to prove how fixie-knowledgeable I am. There is much more I can learn.
After rereading my original response, I cannot conclude how or where you got the idea I was responding to you. My post was merely trying to state the fact that from what I've read, The Wrench has had very little insightful and meaningful posts and /or responses regarding fixed gear riding. They were mostly insulting and rude comments. Perhaps if you reread The Wrench's post and then mine, it would clear things up.
I do not expect to gain any insight into yours or anyone else's past from their posts on this forum. From what I've read of most of your posts, you do know what you're talking about.
Doltish? really?
