Bikes: Torelli - Trek 520 - GT - and some old Schwinn Thing

Photos of my commute (15 pics)

I took photos of my commute. Partly due to Koffee's request, partly because its a gorgeous time of year. This is my alternate commute that is about 3 miles out-of-the-way of my normal commute. It gives me some good climbs, fewer cars, and great scenery.

Door to door, its about 18 miles.

A nice wide road with a great bike lane.

Riding alongside the freeway. Suprisingly empty of cars.

Crossing the freeway. I love the hills in the background.

View of the valley. I descend into it, then climb out the other side. Then descend down to the highway.

BRAVO SAILGUY!!!!!

That really made my night tonight.... it's the last thing I'll be looking at before I hit the pillows. Thanks for some wonderful pictures and for sharing that part of your life with us.

Gotta get out to your neck of the woods and ride sometime. It looks great!

Koffee

I noticed a lack of cars in your pics, must be a nice quiet ride. The roads also look very smooth, our roads were described as "heavy" by Phil Ligget when he was in town. I would kill for some smooth roads like that.

CHEERS.

What I wouldn't give for a commute like that one! I need a digital camera to post pics of my old seaside commute before I move to Brisbane.

Nice. I will keep those pictures in mind as I ride through the traffic and potholes.

By poplular demand, and to add some fairness, here are a couple pics with cars. This one is the picture immediately after the "House" picture, from across the street. (also when there were cars, I didn't feel like dealing w/ the camera)

Nice pics.

Now I'll have to take my digital to work and post some pics of beautiful downtown Perth.

Sailguy, your commute is my weekend ride. I know those roads by heart. In contrast, my commute sucks, and yet we're only a few miles apart. And your shot of "cars" is laughable !!!

I'd take my dig camera and shoot shots but there's not much in the way of shots to shoot. A truck-infested light industrial area in San Jose is pretty much what you'll find anywhere.

I'm thoroughly jealous.
