How do you get a hold of a specific bike? :c
If you can't find a dealer in your country, what options do you have? Will I have to book a trip to Italy and ride it home?
http://www.giostorino.it/images/pist..._gios_2014.jpg Saw a guy riding in the snow with a "gios torino" today, never saw the brand before.. Their bikes look jawdroppingly good though, every single one of them :twitchy: |
Looks like a great courier bike.

Find and ring up a GIOS dealer to see if they can ship you one.
Seeing it's not a specialized, it's likely to just fall on the whims of the dealer provided you pay for shipping. |
looks like the guerciotti scratch. prolly made in china too.
|
Just buy a Dodici Gara. It's most likely a nicer frame and is actually hand-made in Italy.

From the bottom of the GIOS Torino Pista page:
In Italian Le Biciclette Gios Made in Italy sono disponibili esclusivamente nello showroom di Volpiano-Torino-Italia. In English Bicycles Gios Made in Italy are only available in the showroom of Volpiano-Turin-Italy. |

Gios' heyday ended like 20-25 years ago with a big lawsuit. Gios is just a fancy decal trying to live off of old-school name recognition. The consumer level bikes are not made in Italy.
