Never dreamed I'd own anything this cool:

I'll post more pics next week when it arrives.

Wow, that is quite a find. Are you going to ride the ten pitch or are you going to get an alternate drivetrain and save the rare stuff for special occasions?

Great find!

If you're not aware already, 10 pitch is pretty expensive to ride on due to obscurity and proprietary components.
Problem areas are focused around the crankset taking only 10 pitch chainrings and the rear hub taking likewise for both cog and lockring. Also the chain, being a consumable, is rarest of all.
There's no backwards compatibility with those above.

Good news is the value of the group is only going up.

Very nice!

Someone was planning on road FG use when that frame was built w/ internal rear brake fittings and a bottle mount, well done.
I'd certainly ride it if gearing for a 70GI could be dug up.....

ITriped, I was very happy to have the seller accept my offer. I have a Track Pro that will still get the majority of my laps, but will ride the DA10 Steelman once in a while just because I think that's what would make it happy after hanging in storage all these years.

jonpear6, Thanks, I can't stop looking at the pics...have to wait until next week to touch it though.

Leukybear, Yup, I couldn't believe it when it popped up..and my size too! Looks like I'll be setting up some expensive eBay searches soon.

franswa, That's the plan...thanks.

TejanoTrackie, I promise to post more pics when it arrives.

T13, That's exactly how I feel right now.

Bandera, I'm hoping to hear from Brent on the build history. Changing ratios looks like it will be costly, but a fun hunt.

10mm pitch chain is a standard industrial size, so it might not be as hard as you think to replace a worn chain.

Seven months later, I finally got it to T-Town (I know, I know, but it's not all my fault, rear wheel got bent in shipping and had to be relaced to a new rim)

It was definitely worth the wait.

Do I spy internal cable routing? That's gotta be a rare feature on a racing bike. So nice.

Yes, internal cable routing and a bottle mount if the rider wanted to train on the road...although I don't plan to ride it anywhere other than the velodrome.

Gearing is 47:16 (although it looks even smaller because of the 10 pitch). It was a bit lower than I am used to on my other bike, so I may swap the chaining out to one of the other rings I picked up (49t and 52t).

Overall fit was great and it was a blast to ride.

Neighbor stopped by to admire this one today. He asked me what it weighed and I had no idea...put it on the scale out of curiosity...17#, not too shabby.
