ok, sounds like i'll go with black phils, black deep v's, and whatever hot looking spokes i can find laying around the shop. should be good.

I'm a bit undecided on hubs, but I've got coming some Deep V's in white - 3 of them.
But I'm leaning toward level component hubs. Stout, nice, strong. If I could get the level hubs powder coated or anodized, it'd be nice. But if I don't I'm not gonna be upset.
The extra will be come the front wheel on bludredbiatachi I ride.

I've been riding on my dream wheels for awhile now:

Phil wood single fixed high-flange in chrome, with axles converted to quick release to allow for Kryptonite locking skewer set, laced via 14g spokes to custom powdercoated deep-v rims. Bulletproof, sexy, and pretty dang hard to steal.

I'm a big fan of the aero look on the back and the traditional shallow rim on the front. I just got a phil laced to an all black deep V (just e-mail Velocity and ask for them) for the rear. 36 hole, so it'll be around with the cockroaches after WWIII. Now I'm saving for a lighter front wheel. maybe open pro or something like that. 28 hole low flange hub.

This is pretty easy. (links coming after I write this)

Dream handbuilts

Hubs: white industries (ENO hub because I can use it in my road frames if I want to or I can use it with horizontal drop-outs as well). I'd like to try some high-flange designs also to get a better bracing angle and shiffer shorter spokes.

Spokes: DT aero lites/Spaim cx-rays/ Wheelsmith XE14s (any of those butted oval spokes)

Rims: FIR 35mm Deep V's http://www.fircerchi.com/Dati/prodotti/sc350.html or the lighter 455 gram Niobium 30mm Deep Vs http://oddsandendos.safeshopper.com/9/130.htm?553 from either speedcific or IRD.

Are these not some bad ass hoops or what? (5mm deeper than Deep V's). Campagnolo Pista Rims still take the cake though at 38mm
