Kilo tt raw owners: question about finish

Hi all. I've always wanted a kilo tt and I finall pulled the trigger... Sold my old bike over the winter

I did tons of reading, measuring, etc prior to purchase. I was torn between a 55 and 53cm but scrod's experience pushed me toward the 55 and I'm glad I didn't get the 53...

i just received it today and all is well... No major probs except for a minor scuff on the left crank arm.

I went with a RAW stripper... All the pics I've seen of raw bikes were very classy. I've been through both pic threads several times

Anyhoo, to the RAW owners: is the finish pretty consistent or is it cloudy and blotchy ? Mine's pretty cloudy. The pic probably makes it look worse than it actually is. Pic looks like scratches but no scratches. It more/less noticeable depending on lighting

Is this universal for RAW kilos.

TIA,

Jeff

You are aware that a *true* raw finish is the total opposite of a perfect powder coated finish, right?

Okay, I'm not the in-house expert, but my experience has shown that with normal use, those crank arms are gonna have more to worry about than "minor scuff marks."

I've had my Kilo for a solid two years now and the crank arms look like I intentionally throw the bike down the basement steps twice a day... just for fun. But its all from everyday use.

Thanks... Not really worried about the scuff. More relieved that there weren't any other issues. After all the horror stories about crappy hubs and lock rings, etc. the stock long ring was super tight and greased...

I'll have to give mine a better look later today, but I had a similar look to my raw tt, but minor. Your pictures do make it look worse, although still super sexy.

Can you add a picture of the back side. Yeah.

Thanks! I'll grab another pic later. It's probably the intended "look" but I think it would look nicer if the brown/rust tint was more consistent. The cloudiness is blotches of bare metal... The forks have the same look. The only pics I've seen of raw kilos are from a distance

Thanks again!
