Should I go for it? (Craigslist)

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Should I go for it? (Craigslist)

This bike seems perfect for me, size and all. I don't know much about bikes so I want an expert opinion. Please be nice! Thanks!Origin 8 single speed/fixed gear

Not that it's a bad bike but for 400 bills I think you can pick up a better CL find.

I am gonna be nice and say offer 200 or 250 maybe and if they decline, walk away. The bike simply isn't worth what they are asking for.

asking top dollar and this is how they maintain the bike?

"You should know that the rivet fell out of the rear brake lever. I didn't want to have to replace the whole thing, so I put a piece of wire through the holes. You can see it in the pic, it looks sketchy but doesn't affect braking lol. You could possibly find something at Home Depot to fix it or replace the levers. Honestly, I didn't think it was necessary."

id offer 200 cash with a meet up that is asap and if they decline take your business else where.
