What do you think of this wheel set?
Hey everyone
What do you think of this wheel set on a bianchi pista https://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...obalID=EBAY-US ?
Is this h and son wheel set better?
https://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321775051397&globalID=EBAY-US
I hope they are better than the originals rims?

the unbranded ones are total crap.
the H Plus Sons aren't bad but the Novatec Hubs they are laced to are also crap.

I was worried about that. How about this: H+Son SL42 rim laced with our BLB spokes onto BLB Track hub.
Specification:
• MSW
• H+Son SL42 rim
• BLB Track front hub
• BLB bladed spokes
• 3cross
• 32h
• 700c
• Clincher

In my experience I had to replace 2 of them within 8 months. Maybe yall have had better luck. Or I'm too abusive.

i think you built them in '12 or early '13, they have something like 3000 miles on them and theyre as smooth as the brand new paul hubs on my mtb, and i certainly dont baby my bikes

If I had to pick between the two, I'd go with the H+SON set in a heartbeat.
The 88mm's may be appealing visually but they are heavy AF.
Just to add another confirmation, Novatec hubs are not crap.
Quando hubs are what you should avoid.

Add another vote to the "Novatec hubs are quite good" tally, but...
Re OP's hope that the wheelsets he linked are better than his Pista's stock wheels? Unless bombproof is the absolute priority - it is hard for me to think of a 7+ lb wheelset being much improvement over just about anything. Not to mention...aren't super-deep rims kind of over?

As long as they are "better" and have a better hub and cog in the back, I'm happy. I feel the originals are too noisy when pedaling. Is the dropout correct for the pista? 100mm front and 120mm rear?
