1/ 8 or 3/32

Converting road bike to single speed.

Purchased a new wheelset. My question is what size should I go with/is there a perferd new standard?

Or does it even matter since I'm buying new:

Cog, chainring and chain.

Just not sure what size to get 1/8 or 3/32?

Just get a 1/8" chain. That way you can get any chainring and cog you want.

so I can run a 1/8 cog 1/8 chain and 3/32 ring?

If so this will save me from buying a new chainring
