Miche Track Hubs Flange Size?

Available in low flange and high flange--any particular reason to prefer one over the other, or is it just appearance?

If just appearance, which is more popular?

Thanks.

Hig-flange hubs (in theory) build a stiffer wheel, low-flange look classy as ****.

EDIT: More important is the fact that single-sided rear hubs look WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than flip-flop hubs.
