Fixed Gear Tires
I am in the research phase of purchasing my first fixed gear although I have been riding the m for a couple of years. I have minimal knowledge as far as specs and parts so I am trying to figure out what would be the differences/benefits for each of having 23c tires compared to just say 32-45c tires? I have broken my list down to 5 bicycles and one out of the four states it has a 1.115 fork which allows up to 45c tires. The other 4 have a 1" fork and all come with a 23c tire. I understand this is just a difference in the width of the tire but I would like to know the benefits of having a thinner or thicker tire, as well as disadvantages between the two. I also understand that the fork can be switched out and upgraded in the future. I am not planning on using the bike on dirt paths or "offroad" as i do not want to put the stress on the frame.
