Freewheel without the need for a special freewheel installation tool?
Hi,
I have a new Motobecane Track with a flip flop hub. It came with a 15t fixed gear and I want to add a freewheel but didn't want to really buy another freewheel installation tool! I already have the traditional Shimano Park tool free wheel installation tool (FR 1.2) used for road bikes. Can I some how install a freewheel on my Motobecane track that uses the FR 1.2 tool? Does such a freewheel exist. Thanks. |
You can install a freewheel with your bare hands.
You only need a tool to get it off. |

The smallest freewheel you can install on standard hub threads is 16T.

What does all this 1/8 3/32 etc mean ... I know I'm being lazy but my head is so full of stuff if I read about freewheels I would have to forget something ... :-) |
