suzue pro max rear hub
i don't have time to search it, i'm not at home, but what do we think of them...i'm kinda leery of the suzue name, but I'm only familiar with the $30 ones...any comments would be great... surleys are hard to get a hold of in this city and it is only a bit more...time to get rid of the ss and get a f/f hub so i can rock fixed when i feel like it...you are all an inspiration to me...*sheds tear*...

The ProMax or Disco hub is an excellent hub. There are actully two versions the SB with cartridge bearings and the NJS version with cup and cone bearings.

Suzue do make good hubs apart from the Jrs (which are just shiny trash) and the Pro Maxs are great value for money. Had one on my rear for five years without problems (the NJS version). Also own a pair of the sealed bearings ones which are pretty decent too.
Defintely better than the Surly hubs. |
I've the got the disco SB on my rain bike. It barely looks like a wheel because of all the filth on it but the wheel still spins quiet and smooth and when some day it doesn't, I'll just pop in a new set of cartridge bearings and be like new.
