How many people actually ride brakeless

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It's not an excuse. It's a defective gene. We can't help ourselves.

Before I had two kids a wife and a mortgage, I rode brakeless in NYC traffic daily.I like knowing that I can but choose not too.

I havet heard that excuse in a while and I never understood the need to justify it. Is it so bad to admit that it's cool and all your buddies are doing it? I go brakeless ocassionally because it's fun but it's also exhausting so I put the brake back on.

He's super annoyed by being drafted by brakeless riders, which hasn't happened, because he's never met any.
