Oh good, because bike manufacturers are the only ones I trust to answer such questions.

I looked at the specs - good thing it has a steel fork. Should cut down the jarring felt in one's teeth on washboard rides.
Freewheel tooth is 16T but that could be customized. And at $320 for a hydroformed alloy frame, no complaints.

I like at how the bike is marketed, "Laugh at rough roads."
Of course the bike only comes with 28c tires so you may trouble laughing while the tires beat you up on rough roads.
Or you can shell out some cash for an appropriate sized tire but that drives the cost of the bike up.
I guess the fork braze ons are designed for a salsa everything cage. But then you might want some gears if you are going bike packing . . . .

You can put on 45 c tires on it and they can be had for a good price if you shop around.
Is this the bike for long rides? Probably not but for day rides its cool and its actually lighter and faster than a geared bike due to all the extraneous weight of a cassette/derailleur/multiple chainrings that are dropped.
KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. If only more manufacturers made simple bikes just for kick-ass riding.

That is one ugly bike.
Don't mind the brake cable routing, all my Raleighs have it that way.

I actually prefer an ugly bike that will stand up to the rigors of hard riding.

If that is their answer to a question that has already long been answered, they certainly have failed. If they were in school I would give them an F and give them remedial summer school for the next 10 years.

Fresh Garbage
Single speed off roading is a niche activity. Those of us that do it love it, but everybody else just asks why suffer so much. It isn't for everybody
