First fixed gear

Hey everyone, this is my first fixed gear bike, and my first time posting on this forum. I was hoping to get your opinions on wether or not this is a decent starting bike. Sadly the frame appears to be a well painted Kent thruster, but the guy I bought it off of has literally replaced everything else, it has retrospec deep vs, a new crankset and bottom bracket, retrospec bullhorn handle bars, a projekt brake and other small things. But it appears the only original part is the frame. I purchased it for 140. Looking for feedback. Here is a photo

now that you own the bike, don't worry too much about how good the bike it, u must ride it and enjoy riding it !!

If this is your first you're not going to have fun riding it with the handlebars so damn low. It's also really ugly with the colours, but for $140 I guess whatever. It looks like a bike some idiot threw a ton of money at with no idea what they were doing.

Certainly not my cup of tea, but for $140 you could have done worse, i suppose...

If you didn't read the warning on the door to this zoo, you might want to. :)

This is a rough group.

If you like it, and it rides well for you, GREAT!

If your back and neck are hurting, just flip the stem and bars for now and give it a try.

And, have fun!

Ride it like you stole it!!!

That red collar on the top tube needs to be pushed forward. It is to save your paint from being slammed by the handlebars. You do hae a rear brake cable which does minimize the slams. (True track bikes with no brake or bar tape except on the drops are true top tube paint killers and all sport those collars.)

Stem and handlebar arrange made me laugh.

fine for 140

sort the stem ans handbars out and you will enjoy it more

Thanks everyone, and yes I did flip the stem upwards, that is just how it was set up when I got it. After riding it once, I figured out it wasn't going to work. I'm not sure how the owner before me rode it comfortably.

It probably wasn't about comfort it was about Pound sign:yolofixieswagpoints

The bike is ugly as piss but for the price it isn't too horrible. Ride into the ground, save some cashola and buy something nicer when you can.
