2014 735 frame worth it?

I am looking for a track bike frame in the 200$ range and I found someone selling a 2014 735 frame for $220. Is $220 too much for it or should is it a bargain? I was considering to get the Aventon Mataro for $189.

You're better off throwing $220 in the trash.

Why is that? Do they have a bad reputation?

The seller said he would include the i805tt fork, leader stem and izumi chain for $220 the only thing I am worried about is the seat clamp it seems odd.

A lot of people were worried about the seatpost clamp from what I understand.

I am just looking for a decent entry level aluminum track frame, what do you recommend? I have been eyeballing the Aventon Mataro for a while but people say that it is not good and some say it is good and ithers said just to buy a leader instead.

I was finally able to see the bike he linked to.

The one he posted isn't the "Classic" (which was released in late 2015 as a lame attempt to overcome the failed seatpost clamp design shown in the pics I posted), it's an original version from 2014 that was notorious for creaking like your great grandma's rocking chair.

I don't think there is much I could add that isn't pretty searchable on this very forum. They've had lots of quality control issues. I experienced them firsthand; In the end I didn't necessarily get burned, but, the level of hassle wasn't justified by the product. I don't care if you buy this frame or not; If you do, and you don't have issues, you'll probably even enjoy it. But, if you're unlucky, you'll be SOL on something unrideable and (if you're decent) unsellable. Why do this?

I'm a fan of Leader, but I wouldn't buy one from the last few years used. I have a 725 classic right now that I've had ZERO problems with, but I bought it new so it could be warrantied, if needed. I'm waiting on the new 735 to be available stateside.
