I haven't. Mostly because I don't want to add weight.. I would prefer a fast ride, although I know that it's gonna be a stiff ride then... Do you know any reasonably lightweight steel frames?

Only problem is, I wouldn't buy the newer 725s with the redesigned seat post that has been a proven issue and I don't think you can find the older 725s or 735s new anywhere these days.

Thus, Aventon is probably your cheapest/best bet in the aero aluminum game.

If you're willing to spend a little more money you could get an All City Thunderdome and you'd be a happy camper.

Any more money than that and you're talking Cinelli range.

Like previously stated. Skidding has nothing to do with the frame. All about foot retention and gear ratio.
yeah I actually just found somebody who's selling his 2009 leader wich would be alright then
but the thunderdome is definitely bookmarked in my head! looks like a solid ride.
thanks for the suggestion!

But damn I think I actually fell in love with the vigorelli tbh.. I'm gonna wait before I invest in my fixed, but you helped me out a lot! thank you

I actually love that suggestion: Italian frame from a firm which didn't get a bad rep... sounds great!

Thanks a lot!

Lightweight is subjective, heh. But, if you're set on buying frame/fork instead of complete bike, check out:

BikeIsland.com - Bicycle Parts, Accessories and Clothing at Affordable Prices with Free Shipping

Bike Island is, I guess, Bikes Direct's parts-n-pieces storefront. There are some really nice frames on that page. They do have a couple of aluminum sets, but I wouldn't discount the steel sets.

Might be worth a look.

So it's $579 on the landing page but $799 when you click through or add to cart.

How do you get the $579 deal?

You should be riding your bike, not trying to recycle it.

I have always hated both and think bikes and roller blades are stupid. It is all about hoverboards, those things are awesome. Say you are out with friends and you all get hungry, just wait a bit, the thing will set on fire and so long as you have some skewered food in your pocket you can make them a tasty treat as your hoverboard burns. Transportation and food cookery, come on people!!!!!!!! Let me see your precious Aventontontons and takemetoyourLeeders cook food!!!

Yeah but the flavor is off. You want melting plastic flavor to really bring out the best in your dish. Plus it will get everything up to proper temp to kill that bacteria.

I've just built a mataro and I'm in love with it. It was between that or a leader but the aventon is cheaper and from reviews I've read on the internet there's no point spending the extra cash on a leader given the very similar frame build.

I highly recommend
