Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

NYC's most dangerous intersections

After hearing of the tragic death of Brandie last week, a friend forwarded these links to me. Good information to know, even if some of these intersections can't be avoided.

While it's for pedestrians, I'm sure if you added bikes in the stats would be a helluva lot worse.

If you look at the map though, near every nasty spot there is a bridge or a tunnel. ie Canal, Delancy.... People probably come in at highway and have not acclimated to the lesser city speeds when they screw up.

I actually expected Broadway to just be painted red but thats another story...
