yoshida champ grips on bullhorns

Is anyone out there running yoshida champ grips on bullhorns? Grips such as these: http://www.businesscycles.com/tgrip-champ.htm

If so, can you send over a picture so I see the set up before trying it at home? Thanks very much.

Wouldn't you just put 'em on the ends?

Or you could just do bar tape...

They look like this on drops. I can't imagine that the grips would care whether they were on bullhorns or drops, and they probably only go on one way. You could try it, and if (a) you don't like it or (b) your friends don't like it, then take them off.

Yeah, actually it isn't the asthetics I'm thinking about. I probably should have been more clear. I want to know how far around the bend they travel and whether they follow the bend tightly or open up at the end on the corner. Which wouldn't work.

the champ/yoshida keirin grips are ~16cm from end to end (that's ~6 3/8"). bullhorns differ in the length of the "horns," so you're just going to have to measure and see. now, as i've done on my track drops, you can cut off the closed end of each grip and slide them into whichever position you most frequently use. for example, i put mine up on the curves, where I generally have my hands when I steer:

I am probably going to purchase a pair of black grips to put on the curved part of my nitto time trial bullhorns -- i have no doubt that they'll work fine. the cutting method, while it may or may not have aesthetic pitfalls, allows you to get the grips wherever you want them. i hope this helps

That's great, man, thanks. They look soft, which will work.

Query, dear forum members. Has anyone seen the green yoshida grips? i've seen the pic of that shade of green, but i was wondering if anyone had seen them in person, and whether they'd fit the color scheme of my ride. Is it like a kelly green, as it looks in the picture?

Aesthetics questions are for sissies, i know.

I don't know about the color of the green Yoshida grips, but I just put a black pair on my new drops and I really like them. They are shorter than I guess my brain expected them to be, but neither objectionably nor uncomfortably so. They are also firmer, which I dig. Grippy, too. I get the feeling that these things have the potential to last a very, very long time.
