I'm with ya. Still salty I can't get a good tubeless ready cross tire in 33s and gumwall.

Functionality wins though!

I've never paid that much attention to my bar tape. Honestly I'd have to check each bike to tell ya if I used the extra strip or otherwise covered that gap. It probably varies.

I dig. Loving that frame set.

Would also be interested in seeing it with all silver bits.

This is my cheapest/crappiest bike but I can't ever see getting rid of it honestly.

Jellz! I've been on the lookout for an old Spesh MTB in my size (tiny) for commuting since forever.

Everyone needs a bike like that. Mine somehow morphed into a Rivendell but sees the same use I'm sure.

I'm actually not a big fan of all silver parts on this frame. Had all silver parts on it, and it was just too bright.

Have you checked out the Gevenvalle shifters? They are an amazing piece of simplicity -- just swapped my Crocket over to 1x11 and it couldnt be a more simple setup that is incredibly effective.

In the final stages of setting up my Bruce Gordon Chinook for 650b.. again. Bought the Trek on the stand for $75 which had 650b wheels, 7sp with a triple up front. Going to be running a flat bar on this bike since my Ironman (my other 650b bike) has drops. Super low budget build, just gotta pick up some 559's, new chain and cable housings. The freewheel has some decent wobble so a new one of those will be installed on the bike eventually. Selling off the Trek since it is to small!

Should be a fun bike!

The whole photo is awesome.

It shows the inside of the train car, the train car behind the camera and the photographer in the reflection and at the same time shows the landscape outside through the reflection. Lots going on.

Is that a ferris wheel in the background?

Looks like it. My Steamroller has all black spokes except for 2 silver ones that are right at the valve -- makes finding the valve that much easier... Not that it was hard to begin with

yeah i laced the rear non-drive side silver spokes (radial) with black nipples and black drive side with silver nips 3x.
then the front is 3x both side with silver spokes (black nips) non-drive side with black spokes (silver nips) on the drive side.
after building 2,200+ sets of wheels, i like to mix it up every now and then.
