NatureBoy Disc Wheel Suggestions/Help

I've ordered a Nature Boy Disc frameset only from my LBS. I'm building this bike as my daily commuter and for those times when I just want to leave the 11 speed at home. I'll want a tire size of about 700x32 - probably the Panaracer Gravel Kings.

However, researching SS disk wheels/wheel sets has been somewhat depressing. I'm hoping some folks here who may have gone this route before can share what they built up for their SS disc bike to help me with some ideas. My budget is flexible, although I would like to keep everything around 4 Benjamins.

Thank you in advance.

SS wheelsets are hard to come by for cheap outside the track/fixie world. The hubs are good so I'd just save your pennies and scan for deals on lighter rims (Stans Grail or something like that, I know they just re-did the Crest so you may find last years on closeout) and re-lace them. Aside from that, look for light/skinny rim 29er wheelset used but you'd probably end up using spacers on a geared hub at that point. Cheaper yet would be to be patient and wait for a light front wheel on closeout and then just re-lace the rear.

Thank you. I did forget to mention that I do not want to use a 135mm wheel with spacers. But I do like the re-lacing option so I'll keep my eyes open.

Are you going to run SS or fixed? If you're not running fixed, your options are expansive. Tons of MTB wheels out there with a Shimano freehub, and then run an SS cassette cog with spacers.

Should be cheap as most new MTBs have moved on to thru axle and wider spacing than the previous 135mm standard.

Bingo. This is the route I ended up going with on my own Nature Boy Disc as I was faced with the dilemma of how to run fixed using a non-mountain crank set and "traditional" ratios. I gave up on it and went the simple route of standard freehub/SS cog/spacers.

i ran surly hubs laced to velocity ailerons when i had a NB disc.

Thanks for the replies everyone. After more research I decided to go with Paul Disk FHUB / Paul Disc Word (rear) hubs laced to Velocity Ailerons. I also ordered a SRAM Omnium crankset and some TRP HyRD's. I guess when it comes to bikes it's hard for me to cut corners when I know I'll be using it almost everyday.
