They don't recommend a belt drive for fixed gear it is not designed for the loads of the back force that you might apply. There are a bunch of belt drive frames that you could easily make a SS out of.

I think if belt drive was all it's theoretically cracked up to be, we'd be seeing a lot more of it by now.

Love love love this frameset. I already have a steel bike for commuting/gravel/knocking around town - really like the fact that I can lock it up anywhere without worrying about it getting stolen and not worry too much about scraping it up. If I had this frame I'd be a lot more sensitive about that, which defeats the purpose of having a this type of bike for me... oh well, eventually I will find a way to convince myself that this frame would be worth the money.
