I was told I had nice balance by two guys in a car worth many times more than my student loans (that's a lot for those keeping score). That put a bit of a smile on my face.

Everyday on my commute to work on my ss. I stop at the same bathroom on the beach and the same old lady is there reading her bible on the bench. I always say hello and how are you and she tells me. Then when I leave her she says god bless and I feel very wholesome the rest of my ride to work.

I took my rain bike and all my rain gear for a 107 mile ride yesterday, rain was predicted. It was clear and perfect all day.

me and a buddy went and tore through downtown during lunch hour a couple of days ago. i haven't had that much fun in a long time.

i think everyone in this thread should get together for some ice cream soon.

i have the week off. so today i took a bike tour of west and north oakland, starting at west oakland bart. by chance, rolled up on Bay Area Bikes on West Grand (mentioned in LBS sticky) and met their cool-a$$ techs. great service and cool little doodads like mks toe clips and leather bar grips. they also had the shimano t092 shoes i'd been searching for all over.

wound up having a late lunch at crepevine in rockridge and had a window-side corner to myself. it was a gorgeous day. a little breezy, but gorgeous enough for the gals to rock spaghetti staps. behind them, leaning against a parking meter, the polished parts of my beater shined in the afternoon sun.
