vp harrier is 120mm wide, super thin and very light. no ability to mount clips/straps but on a SS or even a fixed gear with a brake(s) you don’t need them.

VP Harriers are nice as are Origin8 Ultim8 Slimlines. Put a pair on my wife's mixte and really like them. Wide, slim and sticky as all hell.

Not sure about the steamroller, but I have catalysts on a bike and love them. You are almost guaranteed toe overlap which can be a problem fixed. These are so long, you might have pedal overlap on some bikes. I am really liking the mid-foot pedaling. I no longer have cramps in my calf the night after a long ride due to using my full foot, not just the ball that all other pedals encourage.

A friend of mine rides with Harriers. They are quite nicely engineered. Like johnnytheboy said, no way to run clips/straps, but your foot definitely isn't going anywhere.

I am comfortable with you post, since you used the word 'almost'.

That's all well and good. But, when you aren't on the bike the pedals are visible, in plain sight, right out in the open, for all of us innocents to be subjected to. Think of the children man, the children!!! Can you actually expect a little one to grow up with a healthy attitude about bikes after he/she has been exposed to such a traumatic experience?

They don't deserve the scars.
