Messenger Bag Vote-athon

I wonder how much flak i'm gonna catch for grouping all other bags into one big category

80sMutRider 06-15-05 08:50 PM

I ride with a Specialized "30th Anniversary". I love the thing.
Though there's one little clip that I have no idea what it goes to...

bailey works is not in the poll? wtf

phidauex 06-15-05 08:51 PM

Custom custom custom! Bust out those sewing machines, hunt through those fabric stores, make your own bags! You'll enjoy yourself! Lust not for the shiny bags from the LBS!

peace,
sam

I have a Chrome and a Timbuk2, and the Chrome COMPLETELY trounces the Timbuk2 in every way. Build, comfort, style, etc. etc.

x2mars 06-15-05 09:21 PM

chrome is good

Fugazi Dave 06-15-05 09:27 PM

I adore my Timbuk2, but when it actually comes to RIDING with the bag on, my Chrome is assloads better. The Timbuk2 is a better around town bag, IMO, and the Chrome better for riding.

I had to get a Chrome to go with my 05 Pista, low top Chuck Taylors, and Flock of Seagulls haircut!

RedMenace 06-15-05 09:30 PM

well i put my vote in for R.E.Load because i love them and because i do carry mine on occasion. but i really wanted to vote for Bagjack. super geil, direkt aus Berlin-Kreuzberg (jetzt mit Trendsetter-Effekt!) :)

there is only reload

I love my trusty Timbuk. I abused my first one daily for six years and it's still in great condition. I wish there was more metal and less plastic, but I still don't really have any complaints about them...and it's not just because I'm prodealed a couple of them every year...but it doesn't hurt (*cough cough RELoad*)

jasonyates 06-15-05 10:57 PM

I have a Timbuk2 and I will say it isn't very comfortable. The strap is hard and hurts my shoulder. I've had it for quite a while, and I like it for sentimental reasons, but I usually just take my regular backpack with me when riding. I haven't had a chance to try a bunch of others because they are all too expensive. I have been wanting to try the Ortlieb messenger bag just because it is a little different and weird, but I don't know..

Chrome also has a backpack-style bag now that I think I might like too.

I liked freitags but they're a little too hip so I got one for my girlfriend instead (I wanted to be close to one). when she's not looking I try it on. it feels nice. I like beer.

I ride with a timbuk2 and I like how it just won't stay still on my back.

I like my 29th Anniversary edition

boycey 06-16-05 04:06 AM

Timbuk. Battered and threadbare, but I can't seem to part with it.

Terror_in_pink 06-16-05 04:16 AM

pac, Zo, and Bailey works.

can i just pick these three?

oh ya, ortleib too, if you want hardcore waterproof.

jacobs 06-16-05 05:10 AM

Seriously. 80% of the messengers in Boston use Pac's or Bailey's.
