Custom custom custom! Bust out those sewing machines, hunt through those fabric stores, make your own bags! You'll enjoy yourself! Lust not for the shiny bags from the LBS!

I have a Chrome and a Timbuk2, and the Chrome COMPLETELY trounces the Timbuk2 in every way. Build, comfort, style, etc. etc.

I adore my Timbuk2, but when it actually comes to RIDING with the bag on, my Chrome is assloads better. The Timbuk2 is a better around town bag, IMO, and the Chrome better for riding.

I love my trusty Timbuk. I abused my first one daily for six years and it's still in great condition. I wish there was more metal and less plastic, but I still don't really have any complaints about them...and it's not just because I'm prodealed a couple of them every year...but it doesn't hurt (*cough cough RELoad*)

I have a Timbuk2 and I will say it isn't very comfortable. The strap is hard and hurts my shoulder. I've had it for quite a while, and I like it for sentimental reasons, but I usually just take my regular backpack with me when riding. I haven't had a chance to try a bunch of others because they are all too expensive. I have been wanting to try the Ortlieb messenger bag just because it is a little different and weird, but I don't know..
Chrome also has a backpack-style bag now that I think I might like too.

I liked freitags but they're a little too hip so I got one for my girlfriend instead (I wanted to be close to one). when she's not looking I try it on. it feels nice. I like beer.
I ride with a timbuk2 and I like how it just won't stay still on my back.
