Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Wabi Retro GP?

It might be time for me to finally bite the bullet on a Wabi. But before I do, does anyone have any information on the Wabi Retro GP? The blog mentioned it when they announced their 2018 lineup. Iím curious when it will be released and what the set up will be.

Hereís the link to the blog post: https://blog.wabicycles.com/2017/12/...8-wabi-lineup/

I can't comment on the GP, but thought I'd tell you the Lightening SE is an amazing bike. I have 6 bikes in my stable, although the Wabi is far and away my favorite (above a Pinarello Dogma). I added the option for lighter weight wheels, which was a good investment. I believe I paid about $1,300 in total, which included upgraded wheels and tires. I've ridden jt about 4,000 commuting miles, and it's the best $1K (ish) I've spent on my bikes.

Like the comments above I have no experience with the GP but I also have a Lightening and love it. Just go off a 45 mile ride. I have two expensive geared road bikes and if the wind isn't blowing hard-less than 15 mph-I ride the Wabi. Dollar for dollar it is the best bike I have.

I have 11 bikes, and the Wabi Lightening SE is my favorite.

Thanks for the responses. They are still having a flash sale on 55cm orange Lightning SEs. My size and it's certainly tempting me at that price.

The customer service amazes me. Curtis connected me with another Wabi owner in my area so I could see the bike and give it a test ride. How cool is that? I hope to do it next week.

I loved my SE so much that I bought one for my son in New York. Curtis personally took care of it, shipping to NY with a note from me, and followed up to make sure everyone is happy. You're right, the service is awesome.
