Bianchi carbon fork

anyone found a carbon fork that works on a Pista? would want one that came drilled for a brake. anyone have success with the WTB pedals that came on them? mine suck and tend to release when I'm really spinning down a hill, and fiddling with the adjusters doesn't help.

i never had any luck with the stock pedals...swapped them almost immediately. hard to clip in, and yes, mine released even with careful adjustment as well.

too important to stay clipped w/fixed...swap em!

oh yeah, the fork, i'll be interested as well in what people have to say!

Are we talking threaded or threadless? Either way, a fork is a fork. Find a 1 inch.

i got a look carbon fork and had it painted. i'm putting it on this week, so i'll let you know how it turns out.

the thing to remember is that the standard pista fork has a 38mm rake. those are hard to find in carbon (they exist, but seem like spendy special orders for the most part). i opted for a more common 40mm version. we'll see if it changes the ride dynamic on the pista substantially.

also, ditch the stock pedals. they're terrible. i grabbed some crank bros candies and never looked back.

I've been wondering about this as well...

The unicrown is so plain! A straight blade carbon thats nice and light would change that... :D

I keep trying to silence the weight weenie in me, but its not working. :(

you can sometimes find the pista concept fork for sale... Its a very nice fork, straight and pretty light. 1 1/8th steerer tube.

The Felt carbon fork rocks, but is mucho dinero...

yeah duh, as the poster said the pista concept comes with a carbon fork. therefore the op wasn't asking about getting a carbon fork for a pista concept, he was asking about getting a carbon fork for a basic pista. the basic pista comes with a 1" steerer, therefore a pista concept fork ain't gonna fit.

yo

I put an Easton EC30 carbon fork with a 43mm offset on my '05 Pista. The ride is more plush, and I like the handling better.

lunacycle:

How did the handling change?
