Anybody from NY going to philly for the rocky 3?

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

new yorkers are going to be pretty scarce there, i think... between Mermaid Parade, 1000 Wheels of Death (sad i'm missing that), and all the people doing R1, it's a crowded weekend. bummer too, i would have liked to do this.

Yeah, it seems like the more people I talk to about going to philly till me they have other plans consisting of 1 of 3 of the above mentioned events. Eh well looks like I will just have to go have a good time ny, and blackout on the train on the way back to ny.

I know Philly well enough, but i have a friend coming from texas that i'll probably be teaming up with. Getting a small map with an inset of downtown is a good idea. Even the bike maps they give away at bike shops would be pretty good. It looks like its gonna be a relay in that there is one sprinter that sprints the task from one place to another, where the other team member completes the task, goes back to the meeting place, and then has the sprinter sprint back to get the next mission. All ends witha team sprint to Lemon Hill. So if you don't know Philly, find someone who knows it even a little bit better than you and be the sprinter.
