Specialized Langster 2015 (£220) or Charg Plug 1 2016 (£175)?

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'd get the plug between those two choices. Less expensive, and it has wide tires and brakes.

What if I upgrade the tyres (23c to 28c) and the breaks? Will it be a better bike overall then? The frame on the langster is light, I heard the charge is a lot heavier.

There's nothing wrong with the Langster. I'd put a front brake on it and leave whatever tires it came with. The two bikes are pretty different so it just depends on what you want.

My biggest concern is if the langster will be uncomfortable because of the aggressive geometry and the twitchy nature of the bike, I will probably be riding this 50-80 miles a day. But maybe Iíll get used to it?

Sounds like you want the Langster, so get that one. If you're young and fit it should be no problem. Worst case you sell it and get a different bike that you like better. There are more than 2 kinds of bikes in the world, and it takes a few to figure out what you like.

Ride both bikes and see which one makes the most sense. I would go with something with a comfortable steel frame, carbon fork (if possible) and reliable parts. If you are doing deliveries you want something comfortable and reliable and a good lock to keep it locked up.
