Yeah, I did the 60-mile a while back and it was pretty cool. Looking forward to starting at the actual starting line.

Spend less
Ride more
Try to finish a solo century for the first time
I want this to be a year when I don't try to improve my bikes, but just leave things alone and enjoy them.

Nice. Do you have any competitive goals, or do you just want to a fitter, faster rider? Either way good stuff.

Strengthen my body and eat/live more healthy than I am. (i already cutout fast food, except for Chik Fl A, and I rarely drink soda/eat candy). Ride more. Meaning other than cummuting. Longer rides. But more kits and cycling socks. Buy a home pump (this Thursday hopefully). Take a trip back to Oregon preferably with my bike. Finish all upgrades on my bike. (cranks, saddle, stem, bars, chainring, hubs). Buy overalls. Yes. Overalls. Buy a BMX bike because I miss it so much.

Let my bike give me to see red-tinted views of nature and that I should see them not alone, but in the company of a life partner. Let there be healthy legs and a clean head.

Land a job in an orchestra or begin another grad program with a full ride (pretty far down the line on both these - waiting on a lot of audition results)
Live alone by the end of the year
Get back under 220 - I'm 6'5" and very large frame, plus I like to lift, so this is a healthy weight. Currently 234.
Not change anything about either of my bikes (trying to be more anti-consumption)
Break 2500 miles of training

Colorado I believe. I was drooling over it in another thread Tim shared it in. The older I get the more I seem to fall in llove with nature, and wildlife. I can’t wait to someday incorperate bicycles into my hunting / fishing / camping trips. MTB are looking more and more appealing.

Yeah, Southwest Colorado. The plan changes daily as I research but this is the general idea...

I figure five or maybe six days, depending on how I feel. Altitude is the big question and I'm planning enough flexibility in so that I can chill in Telluride for a day or two if needed.
My sleeping bag arrived Friday and I just ordered bikepacking bags. Pretty stoked to be doing some camping locally maybe as early as next weekend.

+1 that is definitely true, esp. in regards to the velodrome where the racing will be categorized. The FGC races are (probably?) mass-start so you might need some more fitness to hang in those furious opening laps, but there is nothing to lose from starting track now. Sign up for that track class and start entering beginner races stat!
Also good luck!!!!!
