I recognize that this photo is incorrect as it is not in the proper chainring and the cables are uncut and the valves were not properly lined up (though that is for good reason) but it is an accurate representation of the bike which is now completed (though I do need a different color cambium saddle to match better)

So the seat height has not been set to my fit and the pedals aren't sticking around (I will put some flat pedals on for now and figure out what I want to do) but the bike is finally ridable. The mismatched tires are probably also not sticking around but couldn't fit a 30 at the rear and not sure it will fit a 28 which I have a matching set of so I might just swap to the other Grand Prix Classic and call it a day.
Some lady was screaming down the sidewalk on her bike and yelled at me as if I didn't see her and was pissed as she passed. I saw her and heard her clearly and was able to get the photos I wanted and move out of the way in plenty of time for her to pass without incident. She was going way to fast down a sidewalk and my bike was way prettier than hers : P

Hope to have some non-vintage bikes up soon here but haven't taken any photos in a while of older bikes and my newest bikes aren't ready yet aside from this one. I am also garbage getting photos.

From daily ride a couple days ago
Vintage trek 660. Lugged, true temper 31 yo frame. Had some rear mech issues on the ride, but the bike ride great. Love me some vintage steel.

Yeah, I know. Mismatched tires

Just put some new bottle cages on this one. The proper move would have been Ti cages but they're expensive so I got cheap stainless steel ones that look like Ti instead. I'll cut the steer tube some day...

Thanks. I'm pretty impressed so far. Weighs in at around 19lbs as seen here. It's a new brand and the frame is a super magnesium alloy. Digging it so far.

Since this is the only place I've posted a pic of this bike - I'll just ask here this super highly strategic important hard hitting question: what color water bottle cages should I get? (the black ones are just place holders from the parts bin)
I'm thinking either orange (to match the design on the chainstays and handlebar tape), or white (to match the logo on the downtube). Thoughts?
This is the cage: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KNXRPLK...ding=UTF8&th=1

Is there a spray.bike color that comes close? I think if I were you I'd try painting the stem with a similar mask pattern. That would be fun.
Hey, while I'm here, who else has come to appreciate the fact that there's no 2020 version of this thread?

The stem is also a place holder from the parts bin. I need to order a new shorter one. I'll probably get black to match the rest of the components.

I wish the photos where a little nicer but I was just so excited to have the bike finished that I took them at work this morning. It was pouring rain so I didn't get to ride it home as I wanted : (
Unlike a lot of my bikes there are more photos on PedalRoom which is kind of nice I had some forethought.

All of my geared bikes are old. Although most of my mileage this year has been on various fixed-gears, I did venture out on these -

1976 Puch Royal X, originally purchased for me in 1978 by my father. I had foolishly sold it, then it got stolen from the friend I sold it to, then after searching for decades for one like it, it surfaced on FB marketplace and I made a deal and had it shipped to me. The SunTour Cyclone standard rear derailleur has been modified with a VXs cage to allow it to work with the 13-28 SunTour Ultra freewheel, getting me 6 cogs on a 120-spaced rear.

1973 Raleigh Gran Sport in Clunker Challenge mode - with shipping, this repainted 531-throughout frameset was $50. I used parts from an essentially free donor, recycled bar tape, and other oddments to complete it for under $100 total and rode my 100 km. Now it awaits its next incarnation. I'm seriously thinking fixed-gear commuter mode is next, something involving sealed bearing BB and hubs, CR-18s and 32 mm tires with mudguards.

1974-ish Allegro, probably a no. 76 Schweizermeister sold originally with the "C" parts option briefly mentioned but never illustrated in the catalogs. I bought this one on a whim and have put it back together closer to period correct, though it really should have either tubulars or at least 700C wheels instead of those 27s, and I think I would be happier with some smaller chainrings, and it ought to have a Brooks, and technically it's too big for me, and - you know. It had hung on its pegs for a while, and several times I've taken it down and put it in the repair stand with the intention of disassembling it and parting it out, and every time I just look at it and sigh and put it back on the hooks. Then the weekend before last I thought, "I've never really taken this bike out on the open road before, I've just puttered around with it," so I set off on a Sunday afternoon ramble and that lovely metric-gauge 531 and the long wheelbase and the gliding, smooth ride won me over. It's a keeper.
