today I checked out the practice session at Tachikawa velodrome. the same one ceya and fit24hrs went to last month. it was sweet. a few pics...

I thought there were pretty strict rules about bikes in keirin racing, like steel w/ 32 spoke wheels. whats that guy doing w/ a disc and CF? perhaps I'm just misinformed.

I raced and ridden all over the country for 10 yrs. I even rode the wooden track for the good will games in 1997. I rode Encino,Dominguez Hills,and Etc. So YES to your answer, It is steep for a 400 meter track. When I go back I will take pics to show you steepness of the track.

No this is also training for people who are getting into racing or High school kids. It is everybody invited kind of thing. It is run by a famous Japanese road racer from the 60's who raced the 1964 Olympics.
Tomity may correct me later I am wrong on the years.
36 hole hubs is for keirin racing not 32 hole hubs!
