How to install Miche Primato BB
 

OK, attached is the picture of the bootom bracket. Step 1 is to screw the RH side, along with the cartridge, counter clockwise into the drive side, and then step 2 is to screw the LH clockwise into the non drive side (its an English thread).

But.... to do this the LH threaded part needs to be removed from the assembly (cartridge).

How do you get LH side off?? It just rotates endlessly if you try and uncrew it. It doesn't seem to want to push off.

Make sure that the threading of the bottom bracket cage is compatible with the bottom bracket: • Italian Thread: 36x24 tpi; • English Thread: 1.370x24 tpi Rework the threading of the bottom bracket cage using the specific tool. Rework the right-hand side of the bottom bracket cage using the specific tool. Make sure that there is a hole for water drainage underneath the bottom bracket cage. BOTTOM BRACKET INSTALLATION Warning: If you have any doubt whatsoever your service-repair ability, please take your bicycle to a qualified repair shop. Before any maintenance operations on your wheels, always wear gloves and protection glasses. Use original spare parts exclusively provided by Fac Michelin Spa. • Fit the pre- assembled cartridge in the bottom bracket cage, inserting it from the right side. • Fully tighten the right-hand support, against bottom bracket cage, using bottom bracket tool’s and a torque wrench with a 24mm insert to a torque setting of 70 N.m. • If the bottom bracket has English threading (1.370x24 tpi), the right-hand support must be tightened counterclockwise; if the bottom bracket has Italian threading (36x24 tpi), the right-hand support must be tightened clockwise; • Fully tighten the left-hand support, against bottom bracket cage, using bottom bracket tool’s and a torque wrench with a 24mm insert to a torque setting of 35 N.m. • If the bottom bracket has English threading (1.370x24 tpi), the right-hand support must be tightened counterclockwise; if the bottom bracket has Italian threading (36x24 tpi), the right-hand support must be tightened clockwise;

If it's anything like a Shimano cartridge bb, that LH side is interference fit. It should slide off so you can install the RH side.
You might fashion a puller with a bench vise. Position the jaws until they're narrower than the cup but wider than the bracket, and see if a little parallel pressure keeps it from binding up while you slide the cartridge out. Lube won't hurt, either.

Yeah, thanks, I have those instructions, but the item needs to be in two pieces to follow them, and it's in one!

Yes, I suspect this. Maybe I need to use more force. Your method might help keep it parallel and be the key. I have seen pictures of some Miche BB's in two pieces and the LH side seems to have a snap ring.

But if anyone can confirm the LH cup will slied of a snap ring, that would be great! Cheers...

Cheers John! The BBT-5 fits inside the tabs of the cups. I have that, but it just rotates the cup in place - so it does seem its on a snap ring, not a thread inside (which it could not be because it needs to endlessy rotate in use !)

No threads on either side of the inner cartridge.

Use the hands you were born with and pull the cup off.

If that won't work, hold the left cup in your hand and lightly tap the protruding spindle with a hammer or mallet. The cup should pop right off without much fuss.
